They always close ranks. Cops do not protect you.
Thank you for telling us you neither serve nor protect. Thank you for saying the quiet part out loud. That was state murder in broad daylight, captured from multiple angles by multiple witnesses, and the people of Minneapolis have eyes.

You support murder.

The ICE agent who shot Marimar Martinez in Chicago tried to goad her out of her car.

He said “do something b*tch” and shot her 5 times.

The ICE agent who shot Nicole Renee Good did the same thing. Stood right in front of her vehicle and yelled “f*cking bitch”.

They hate women & it shows.

A gentle reminder in your grief that Renee Good was out there to protect her Black and brown neighbors from ethnic cleansing. That is still the mission.

The focus should remain on slowing down the ethnic cleansing campaign and on protecting Black and brown families and communities from destruction.

In America you drop your kid off at school, get your brains blown out on the ride home, then the Vice President drops everything for a week to call you a terrorist, to slander your family, to protect the circumstances that led to your death so they can do it again. It is government by Alex Jones.

ICE 'enforcement' is policing. Some people don't want to deal with that reality.

I wish people were as horrified about immigrants being kidnapped and killed in detention centers as they are about this shooting at the same time I am very glad there is finally some larger momentum building against this and I hope it sustains.

Remembering today that having your heart broken is a necessary step on the path to becoming fully human. Whichever heartbreak is your first, it’s probably critical that a state break your heart so that you can develop a political imagination. If this is your first, I’m sorry and also welcome.

One reason I favor impeaching Noem is because it's a political process for a political problem. No, this will not stop ICE enforcement action but YES it would be an opportunity to educate the public about DHS & perhaps begin to lay a foundation for dismantling it.

If you are calling for both the abolishment of ICE and for the prosecution of ICE agents, I am gently asking you to sit with the contradiction inherent in those calls. The two cannot coexist and produce a just world. ICE is an extension of the police & prison-industrial complex. It's all gotta go.
I wish leftists claiming to be abolitionists were more steadfast in their politics. Abolition means abolition, even when it's hard, even when it feels frustrating, even when it's about someone awful. We can imagine a different consequence together

Interesting that the people who threatened people's jobs and lives for simply reposting Charlie Kirk's own words are busy vilifying a woman who was shot three times in the face by the gatekeepers of the state.

When George Floyd was murdered, Dems decided to throw in their lot with the grassroots movement for racial justice. We know empirically that doing so played a serious role in Biden’s 2020 election win. Their lesson from this, however, was that activists actually have demands and must be shunned.

One of the harshest truths I’ve learned from studying psychology is how easily people can defend truly heinous behavior when they believe it’s necessary to protect their own group.

Hey, CBP isn't allowed to do any of the stuff it's doing in Minneapolis even within the confines of its extremely ridiculous "100 miles from any border" jurisdiction. It's 300 miles from Canada and 160 miles to Lake Superior. They're breaking the law standing around, let alone beating up protesters.
Border Patrol typically only has legal authority within 100 mi. of the U.S. border. That raised questions when Cdr. Gregory Bovino was at the scene of the fatal shooting of Renee Good.

MPR News spoke with legal scholar César Cuauhtémoc García Hernández about that agency’s jurisdiction in Minnesota.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but cops are not allowed to shoot people just because you didn't do what they said.

That is called murder when they do that.

Some cops are working hard to convince people otherwise.

Good morning. I'd like to invite anyone who is interested to make a small gesture of kindness today. It's up to you to decide what that can be. The key is for you to act on the idea. With so much out of our control, we can choose how to be with each other today and every day.

Renee Nicole Good, 37, was murdered four fifths of a mile from where George Perry Floyd, Jr., 46, was murdered in May of 2020.
I want the media to understand just how close what happened today is to where George Floyd was murdered. 0.8 miles.
