I liked it a lot! The sympathy to The Monster felt right on--and the script gives him a good balance of verbal fluency so that he can articulate his feelings and not sound like Percy Shelley edited him to within an inch of his life
Anyway, looking forward to watching Grillem del Toro's #Frankenstein tonight!

One thing that kinda takes me out of Late Night with the Devil is how Lilly is written. Everyone reacts to her as people would to a 13-year-old girl--very condescending--when Ingrid Torelli is EXTREMELY 17 years old in the movie

An interesting thing I've noticed about people discussing The Substance is how often they'll fall into the illusion that Elisabeth and Sue are two separate individuals, instead of the same person at different moments. The movie even tries to remind you that they are! A LOT!

Rewatched The Ring, and I'm surprised at how good a mood piece it is. I think when I originally watched it I was too distracted by Daveigh Chase's voice to really get into the vibe, but I do remember the kid's horrified "You HELPED her?!" being a bit of a rug pull for me
