Soft. Definitely soft. Throughout the book, "magic does as it pleases" is repeated a lot.
But there's a few defined things: only Black people can use it, all magicians have a staff that's the center of their magic, and if a normie sees, there's magical backlash.

I got to 69k (heh) on the himbo rapper/demon couple 3 WIP, then burned out. (Who would have thought that writing 4k a day for 2 weeks would burn you out... 🤪)
