So it turns out they spent £715 million on sending a grand total of FOUR volunteers to Rwanda.

For comparison, this is more than you could expect to spend on building an entire brand new hospital in the UK
In July, I FOI'd the Home Office for the full breakdown of spending on the Rwanda scheme

I was refused because the government planned to publish the data in future, and today is the day. These numbers are in millions

I only found out today of the death of this beautiful actress. I was so lucky to see her in many productions at the RSC, but the stand-outs for me were as Irina in Three Sisters and as Kate Nickleby in Nicholas Nickleby, two truly great productions, both of which
I saw multiple times. So very sad.

Such a fun evening at Theatre Royal Drury Lane tonight for Sandi Toksvig & The QI Elves. I laughed and learned a lot. What more can you want from a night at the theatre?

Thirty million dogs are slaughtered for human consumption every year, many of them killed by live torching and other inhumane methods.

“A lot of these dogs are stolen pets or collected from the streets.”
