Torontonian, cancer survivor, mostly retired.
Here for the fresh air, so far so good!
Only DM me if my house is on fire.
I've been surprised all along how little attention has been paid to this thuggish presentation and behavior by a branch of your official authorities.
What worries me with ice is that the public has no way of knowing if they are really ice. They have unmarked vehicles, wear masks, show no warrants or legal paperwork, no identification, and appear very unprofessional and violent. Anyone could be impersonating ice to terrorize our communities.

I believe he'll win the review, and more MP's will leave the CPC caucus in the following months.
Different voters, and the membership is still full of the people who signed up to choose him in the first place.
That leadership review really cant come fast enough. Sooner that weasely little shit is gone, and out of the news cycle, the better.

I'm pretty sure that Ontario's MENSA-exempt premier was originally posturing about what he thought was a US product, and is now saving face by waging economic war with Manitoba and channeling Peewee Herman, 'I meant to do that!' 🤡
Maybe we should consider banning other Diageo brands that are not made in Canada and insisting only Canadian bottled Crown Royal is sold here.
Diageo has 36 brands, many of which are sold in Canada but not produced here.

The historical pattern since Korea is that the US invades, breaks everything, loses interest, declares victory and leaves.
How quickly we forget what comes next.

Did Pierre possibly sink himself with today's fawning message to Trump?
He doesn't seem to have considered that the US -who has been threatening us for a year- adopting state piracy as their model for diplomacy might be an existential threat to Canada.
Welcome to Canada, gents. Please enjoy some complimentary coffee and Timbits. Then, if you drive about 600 miles north and turn left at the Lethbridge sign, you'll find all our oil. Enjoy as much as you like, compliments of the Prime Minister of Battle River-Crowfoot! Mi tierra es tu tierra!

Putin, Netanyahu, and now Trump: hundreds of thousands of lives being sacrificed by and for three worthless septuagenarian men.
It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.

The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.

How long until he starts designing a crown to show how classy he is?
The Arc de Triomphe was designed in 1806, and France was defeated less than a decade later. And again in 1870. And in 1940. As for the Arch of Titus in the Roman Forum, that empire's long gone. Maybe building a triumphal arch isn't a sign of national health?

Trump says construction of the ‘Triumphal Arch’ to begin in ‘2 months’
The monument would be a centerpiece of the White House’s plans for America’s 250th birthday.

This is extremely tricky legal territory, adjudicating capricious application of corruption.
Good luck to all, most particularly the taxpayers of Ontario who will pay for the entire shindig (or is it a shebang? My legal terminology is rusty!)
Lede correction:

Doug Ford's friends sue Ontario taxpayers for broken promises Doug made his friends to enrich Doug's friends.
For one plot of land, the Greenbelt scandal rages on as an Ontario developer sues the Ford government over a broken promise

I think he'll win his review easily, but it's not the caucus that votes. Look for more defections afterwards.

Stephen Harper changed the law in Canada to allow for foreign ownership of Canadian media. That opened the door for an American hedge fund to swoop in and buy Postmedia.

For the sake of our democracy, American hedge funds should be banned from owning Canadian newspapers
Canada's largest newspaper chain, Postmedia, is owned by an American hedge fund headed up by a wealthy donor to Donald Trump.
