Los que vivís en Europa no sabéis la bendición que es el tener sanidad pública. Estos días es cuando en EEUU elegimos nuestro plan de salud anual, y es un puto infierno absoluto (aparte de infinitamente caro)

Good morning! Fellow americans, I happily grew and lived until 40 without having to know the difference between EPO, POS, CDHP or PPO. Healthcare doesn't have to be like this, another better life is possible!

the women in the workplace discourse is very funny because a man who can act normal in an office environment that's predominantly female is absolutely on easy street. it's maybe the best gig anyone in history has had. and yet for many guys it is utterly impossible

Meet our newest patient here at the Alaska Raptor Center, a Northern Pygmy Owl named King Owlbert by his rescuers. Owlbert arrived with a drooping wing, making flight difficult. We’ve given him a supportive wing wrap, plenty of tasty mice, and time to heal. #small #owls #adorable

When I lived in Madrid I rode a Dahon folding bike to the train and then to work. The shaking from the cobbled streets would loose the bolts on the bike and a couple of times the frame hinge opened mid-ride 😬 (I managed to stop safely both times)

The problem with computer jobs is that it's all in your head. You can't touch or eat the code you write, it's too abstract. You need to find something to make with your hands if you want to stay okay

Google Photos thought that I would like to remember that time 2 years ago when I unsuccessfully tried to take photos of a ruby-crowned kinglet, so it autogenerated this slideshow of my failed shots 🥲🪶 #birds

Seen this afternoon in Central Park: a bald eagle!!! This eagle flew right above me while I was biking back home through Central Park, and then perched on a tree by the East Drive a bit below the 79th St traverse. I don't usually do any birding on my way home but I had to stop for this! 🪶 #birds
