Google Photos thought that I would like to remember that time 2 years ago when I unsuccessfully tried to take photos of a ruby-crowned kinglet, so it autogenerated this slideshow of my failed shots 🥲🪶 #birds

Also seen today at Central Park: a couple of red-tailed hawks also noticed all the migrating birds and were trying to grab some breakfast, but a raven put a stop to those shenanigans #birds 🪶

Seen this afternoon in Central Park: a bald eagle!!! This eagle flew right above me while I was biking back home through Central Park, and then perched on a tree by the East Drive a bit below the 79th St traverse. I don't usually do any birding on my way home but I had to stop for this! 🪶 #birds

I've had my Tamron 150-500 f6.7 for almost 3 years, but only just a couple of weeks ago I thought of shooting at f7.1 instead of fully open... and unsurprisingly my bird photos are now sharper 😑 🪶 #birds

This morning I missed the Golden-winged Warbler that was hanging out somewhere at the Loch in Central Park, so this Northern Waterthrush took pity on me and nicely posed for a photo. Thank you waterthrush, have a great trip South! #birds 🪶

This morning I saw one of the tiniest birds on the East Coast, a Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher! But it was too far to get a good photo, so instead here's the Great Blue Heron I also saw this morning. The heron was too big and too close but at least I got a good portrait #birds 🪶

This morning I saw three different species of warblers: a northern watertrush (chipe/reinita charquera), a black and white warbler (chipe trepador) and a redstart (candelita norteña). Even if the redstart photo is kind of bad I think this marks the official start of fall migration! #birds 🪶
