A shorthand guide I had made as of 8/27/24 to talk about VP Harris policies since becoming nominee as there were more articles than usual bemoaning a lack of interviews ahead of the Bash 1 in this thread. These are *SOME* she had put out either in speeches, pooled press events, or other releases:
Things happening about this time last yr re the Harris campaign (8/27/24):

Yet another Kamala Harris ad was released talking about her housing plan & pointing out that more than 100 million Americans would get a tax cut under her economic plan. x.com/adimpact_pol...

It was masterful. The screaming Mimi's don't understand political strategy. The shutdown was just long enough for the new premiums to drop last week so people could see what a bloodbath it was going to be. R's will never be able to outrun this. And Dems ensured SNAP & Fed workers will be safe. 💅

THIS time, SNAP can not be defunded during said shutdown. If the Senate refuses to hold a vote on extending healthcare credits, shutdown. They just won't have the ability to starve people as a brutal negotiation tactic next time as the CR includes full SNAP funding for the rest of the fiscal year 😏

The CR is a short-term funding measure through January. So if R's reneg on any of the elements agreed upon in negotiation including continuing to fire federal workers or neglecting to negotiate with dems on 3 of the 12 appropriations bills, we likely fall back into shutdown. Only ...

I am a NO on any vote that raises premiums for nearly one in four people in my district.

I believe that in the richest country on the face of the Earth, families deserve to get the care they need when they need it — and I will fight like hell to make that a reality.

Let Me Be Blunt: promises won’t bring premiums down.

The government funding deal that just passed the Senate simply isn’t good enough.

But this fight isn’t over.

It was “NO” yesterday.
It’s “NO” today.
And it’ll be “NO” when it gets to the House.

I’m not voting for something that forces millions of Americans to choose between seeing a doctor and putting food on their table.

The Trump administration is returning to the Supreme Court after losing an appeal of a court order to fully pay November SNAP benefits.

That means SNAP funds will be delayed further.

Trump's fighting to keep people from having food. It's astonishing.
The Trump administration on Monday said it still wants the Supreme Court to block lower court decisions requiring it to pay full food assistance benefits to about 42 million Americans who rely on the nation’s largest anti-hunger program.
Trump administration wants Supreme Court to intervene in SNAP fight again
The battle over funding for the nation’s largest anti-hunger program has left millions wondering how they will afford food.

Republicans CONTROL the House, Senate and White House.

They have the POWER to lower costs and save health care.

They are CHOOSING not to do any of that.

Please read the article.

The Supreme Court’s decision to decline to hear the Davis appeal sets no precedent. If another appeal arrives threatening to undermine or overturn Obergefell, the court will review that appeal from scratch.

TX evangelicals used Davis as a test; this will not be the last.

The GOP are a bunch of sociopaths who don't give a damn who they hurt or how badly. That's a very difficult opponent to negotiate with. It's weird how you have, seemingly, no blame for THEM, and only blame for the adults in the room trying to mitigate suffering while having no good choices at all.

LOL the real reason everyone is so upset about Senate Democrats caving is they're finally coming to the realization Trump/Republicans have TOTAL AND COMPLETE control of the country.

And the reason Trump and the Republicans have total and complete control of the country is because yall don't vote.

A Word.
Its a certain demographic who needed to be "motivated off their couches" to vote. Who "need fighters." Or need "excitement"/ someone they can "share a beer with." Politics is not your personal soap opera or wrestling match. And your lack of political enthusiasm without a side show causes real harm!

I know PA is a lot more like Mississippi in many areas. I'm there enough to witness it. But primary season had a huge impact on who received the nomination. Media also hyped one above all the others. I know people in PA who ignored me, and are now "sorry" they voted the way they did.
