@mrjamesob.bsky.social I studied in Russia in the ‘80s & have close connections with Ukraine dating from 1990. Putin was a KGB Officer. This is not a job it is a mind set. The USSR never went away in the minds of these guys & Putin will do anything to see it restored in reality.

Unfortunately I can't be there tonight as I'm ill in bed, but three times a week people gather on Whitehall to remind the UK government and passers-by to keep supporting Ukraine. Usually I'm there on Wednesdays - join us, 6pm to 8pm, from next week!

I’ve been working hard with our Ukrainian street cleaner to break through his very taciturn persona. I have managed to find out he’s from Lviv. He replied with “heroyam slava” for the first time, smiled, patted my arm & gave me a thumbs up. Progress! #StandWithUkraine 💙💛
