I don’t know how Thaler made it through this without crashing out. Stewart sounds moronic.
Man, this clip from the middle of Jon Stewart's most recent podcast really downgraded my estimation of him. After 20+ years commenting on politics 4 nights a week, he doesn't know the absolute basics of what economists believe, at all. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZcz...

One thing I found deeply moving about resistance in the Twin Cities was the universalism of loving your neighbor, the philosophy driving the opposition to the ICE/BP invasion. I couldn't help but notice the contrast with the blood and soil-ism of Miller and Vance. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

Duke and QB Darian Mensah have reached a settlement. He's now free to enroll at any another school, which sources say, is expected to be Miami, where he is expected to be also joined by former Duke WR Cooper Barkate.

No, there is no “undiscussed motive” behind the campaign to annex Greenland. Let’s not do this.

Pre-emptive imperialism
Rep. Randy Fine on his bill to make Greenland the 51st state: "We need to make sure we assert our dominance over the Western Hemisphere ... the last thing we need is Greenland to become another Venezuela where we have huge problems we have to deal with in the future."

To be clear, the federal government can't *stop* local and state authorities from conducting their own investigation. They can just make it a lot more difficult by denying access to evidence, witnesses, etc.

Don't see how local and state authorities in Minnesota can let this go
"The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has just revealed that federal officials have 'reversed course,' and the investigation into the killing of a Minneapolis woman by an ICE agent will be conducted by the FBI without assistance from the BCA."

Back when I lived in Chicago, there was this bar that played the scene with Jack Nicholson's monologue from "A Few Good Men" every night at the same time. I thought it was really weird. Listening to Pete Hegseth now, I get that I wasn't the target audience.
