@mrahpodcast.bsky.social, if you're looking for someone who can talk well about self publishing, I bet the SLF's own C. Gockel would be great.

I know Ben (@benjaminrosenbaum.com) said in the Mohanraj and Rosenbaum are Humans podcast (@mrahpodcast.bsky.social) that he likes acceptances and he doesn't mind rejections, but he hates waiting. And I get that. But sometimes I love the heck out of waiting.

When I wasn't writing enough, I pushed myself to write every day, and I wrote a whole lot. Now I've purposely limited my writing time to Friday and Saturday mornings, and all week I get so eager for this time. And when it arrives it's sacred and perfect and lovely. Like coming home.

There are a few people that are inspirations to almost all scientists that I know, and Jane Goodall was one of them. RIP. 😢

It has been a heartbreaking week, but maybe today things will look up. Here are my silver linings:

Today I woke up and wrote a poem.
Today I woke up and read these beautiful poems by my former professor, now my friend (though we haven't spoken much. I keep in touch through his poetry).

A lot of tech friends were laid off, and I've been doing everything I can to help them. SO, friends, what are resumes supposed to look like these days (especially in tech)? Is the wisdom still one page? Or should it be two pages (one page front and back)? Should you try not to end on a half page?

contract signed (??!!) so i think i can officially say that i will be hanging in @uncannymagazine.bsky.social with “Six Views of a Speedster,” a poem that’s sort of about anxiety and body dysphoria, but at its heart is a love note to those super-folx in fiction who can run really really fast. 👟⚡️

We have added PDF to the formats we provide through the website. All back-issues now have PDF as an available option. Not sure the level of interest, but hopefully it covers a few folks that would prefer it.

My story "The Back Room" was in this issue of DreamForge *@dreamforgemagazine.bsky.social). It still just makes me feel so incredibly lucky and grateful to be in this beautiful magazine with so many wonderful writers.
In DreamForge Anvil Issue 20, we explore worlds both familiar and fantastical. From a brooding castle inhabited by unlikely immortals to a mysterious rock shop's hidden room. All stories free online for you!
