I could never be a console gamer because a good third of games that I like aren't even ported to consoles! Like, they don't even have Caves of Qud, they may have RimWorld & CK 3, but both are years behind on updates. Consoles are never ever getting Victoria 3, way too unoptimized and autistic.

Gotta stop buying books, but how can I stop when there are very interesting $2 brand new books out there. Tough competition for moderately interesting $1 dusty books.

I'm a former hotdog eating champion and I look back at my many victories with great shame. a hotdog is a gift to be treasured, not an obstacle to be conquered

If you live in a very high income country, games are too cheap actually, costs are artificially held back by underpaying 3rd world contractors, who themselves are too poor to afford the game they contributed to, regional prices are lower yes, but they are rarely fair.

So 9th generation was pretty much a massive failure, right?
Sony did so poorly they now port most of their exclusives to PC.
Xbox just straight up died, new one will be a branded PC.
Nintendo seems like a winner, until you remember Switch came out 3yrs prior to 9th gen, so it's more like 8.5th gen.

Ghost of Tsushima is amazing.
Structurally it's not that different from any other open world game, but the near total lack of interface is what sets it apart, following a gust of wind or a fox to your destination is much more fun than following a giant marker! I hope Ghost of Yotei comes to PC too.

The book I'm reading rn is in good shape, but it smells so bad, my tongue gets bitter while reading it. And you know what, I love it, the smell makes it feel alive and it's appropriate for a Ryu Murakami book.

I used to hate the whole "npc" meme, but seeing the amount of people who use genAI, yeah, those are npcs alright.

These are my last days on the internet if AI slopocalypse is not stopped.
I hate having to guess whether the cat video I'm watching is real or AI slop.
