One of the polling parties needs to do a quick poll on support for the BBC against Trump, so that Starmer can decide what to do here.

We cannot roll over to every demand from this soft power Hitler.

If we do his demands will become more and more unreasonable. We will have to take a stand sooner or later. It needs to be now.

This is a critical moment for our country. We need to decide whether we fight this assault on our sovereignty.

If Brexit voters don't side with the BBC against against a foreign power trying to dictate to us, they are huge hypocrites.

We were the nation that stood up to Hitler.

Now we seem incapable of standing up to a whiny, orange, adult diaper wearing narcissist.

It's nice having Trump to hate. I was too young for Hitler.

Possible silver lining of the BBC rumpus is it could be a potential problem for Farage if Trump decides to sue.
I think the public will largely be on the Beeb's side

I’m old enough to remember when the BBC used old footage of Johnson at the cenotaph, to cover the fact that he was hung over and looked like a burst mattress on a tip.
The DG didn’t resign though

Which adults? All we have is obsessed toddlers shouting out ‘I can be nastier to immigrants than you’ in the loudest voices they can find. If you want to be considered the adults in the room, you need to behave like adults.
He's right. Just because I might prefer Zacks populist policies to Nigels doesn't make any of it more achievable.
The current government have inherited an absolute mess snd it is going to take adults a long time to sort it out.

Is there anything redeemable left of Twitter?

My thoughts are no, there is neither use nor benefit to the platform anymore.

It’s time to burn it to the ground and salt the earth for good measure.

Never lose sight of the fact that some people think it would be a great thing if this clown was still president in 7 years time.
Can you imagine what the extent of his mental decline will be by then?

Zohran's campaign was his determination to make New York a city everyone can afford to live in. Huge congratulations!

His success will resonate throughout the world. A story where no one is left behind.

It's time to write that story across England & Wales too.

This is yet another example of how you beat the far right. By beating them, not trying to be them. By having your own agenda, not aping theirs. With courage and conviction - and humour - not fear and timidity.

Fiscal gravity is a helluva thing - and Nigel Farage has found that out this week, in spades.
