It's time to legalise *and* regulate.

Compare and contrast. Labour are finished as a campaigning force. Only @greenparty.org.uk can stop Reform in Gorton & Denton. The polls say it, the people say it, a vote for Labour lets in Reform.

I am getting so much joy out of imaging many heads in Reform exploding at the very idea of a woman plumber!
Hannah is an absolutely cracking candidate 💚
Say hello to Hannah Spencer—councillor, plumber, greyhound lover and your Green Party candidate for Gorton and Denton 💚

#Gambling: An industry out of control doing enormous damage to individuals and communities, a massive #PublicHealth threat
Over one million people in GB are now problem gamblers with many more at risk thanks to rampant adverts.

Local charity Breakeven provides support for thousands in the South East and has excellent insight into how we can reduce harm now, and protect future generations from this terrible addiction.

Pure Thatcherism. God forbid that we all benefit from doctors, scientists, librarians, engineers, etc going to university.
2026: Labour Chancellor Rachel Reeves, "It is not right that people who don't go to university bear the cost for others to"

2020: That time Labour leader Keir Starmer said he would scrap university tuition fees

Members of the Green Party want Hannah Spencer, the former Manchester Mayoral candidate to stand for the Gorton and Denton by-election

This was her Insta stories earlier today.

We’ve reached out to Hannah to confirm if she intends to stand and be selected, she has not responded as yet.

I find it curious Andy Burnham is portrayed as being "Soft Left" in Labour, when his voting record is the same authoritarian rubbish Starmer does. He voted for Iraq. He voted for 90 days detention without charge. He voted for ID cards. He voted for mass surveillance of communications.

The Labour Government allowing elections to be delayed to support Local Government Reorganisation is ridiculous. Democracy isn't efficient and it takes effort - but it is absolutely vital.

Congrats to Liam Pizzey for defeating Reform UK in Horsley. This marks the first time the Green Party has taken a seat from Reform.
Here in Worcester, @worcestergreens.bsky.social are the only ones who can stop Reform, and that's what the polls show too. Join now at join.greenparty.org.uk.

I've been a @greenparty.org.uk member since January 2025 and also volunteer by leafleting around my local area.
On Saturday morning, I joined the @worcestergreens.bsky.social team for the first time as they went doorknocking and I ran the board.
Below are my thoughts with @karenlewing.bsky.social! 💚

Great for young people, for the economy and business, and for cleaner air. So many wins here! 🚍💚
Free bus travel for under 22s is just one step to help support those areas devastated by years of austerity.

KMPG analysis shows that for every £1 invested in bus services, we get an economic benefit ranging from £4.55 to £5.

10:15 meet Cafe Viaduct, come and have a natter gentle roll around the city centre, suitable for all, no set route (whoever’s at the front chooses the route).

Jenrick being accepted into Reform has to be the ultimate insult to Reform voters. The guy who broke our asylum system and presided over the rise of the inhumane asylum hotels; if he's acceptable there is apparently no end to the Tory never-weres that Reform will accept. Liz Truss next? 😂

I think this account is the most followed BlueSky politician in Worcester. We’ve got a lot of work ahead to turn Worcester Green at the next set of elections - together we can make hope normal again. Let’s go!

Meanwhile Cymru has been robbed of billions in Barnett funding by Westminster classifying English projects as “England and Wales”.

And this is why Labour barely scrapes 10% in the polls in a nation which it has dominated - and taken for granted - for a century.

We’ve had enough of this shit.

First Bike Bus of 2026 at St Barnabas Primary was a good one, lots of kids, parents and volunteers. I'm always amazed at how well the kids get up the hill on Green Lane right at the end.
Well done everyone and thank you for coming - and thank you to @Bike Worcester for the volunteer
support.

Why does this Government have to be dragged out back and beaten repeatedly with a stick before they do the minimum moral or legal thing. 2 child benefit cap for example, now the child porn site known as X. Just ban it and charge those responsible as would happen normally to any other site/business.
