This is what I have been doing these last few months. I have been audio producer for MGC's inaugural podcast series! It's been brilliant! Such a lovely team and the podcast is fascinating. Do give it a listen because I'm very proud to have been a part of it! 🎉🎧🎭

We're delighted to share the next set of guests with you. Keep a close eye for further details and until then, you have one hell of a back catalogue to trawl through for those commutes, dinner preparations, and times where you want to feel like there are other people in the room with you. Enjoy!

Brilliant @soozuk.bsky.social belting it out at Royal Vauxhall Tavern last night! 👏🥂🎉🎤

Deeply shocked and saddened to learn we've lost Catherine O'Hara. The outpouring of love has been beautiful though. Everyone loved her. So many brilliant characters in film & TV. When once asked 'Which role would you most liked to be remembered for?' She replied 'Mother of my children'. R.I.P. 😢

What's this? It's the first Isolation Cinema post of 2026! Here is a selection of films over the last few weeks which have been added to the library. If you're wondering why there's so few in 3 weeks, there have been a lot of re-watches.

Everything about this show is beautiful and truly magnificent! I saw it last night and I cannot recommend it enough. It will put such a smile on your face. It is a little piece of magic. Also, these were £68 seats for £28 on TodayTix. Incredible! 🤩 #MyNeighbourTotoro

Surely I'm not the only one who thinks, at first glance, that the image on the Difflam Spray is E.T...

Please tell me people aren't feeling nostalgic about 2016. Do they not remember what happened that year? Do they not remember it?!?!?

OH MY GOD! Fucking Incredible! You have to see NATALIE PALAMIDES 'WEER', it is a work of ART! 😱👏

Ah, my Mutantes! As January's chill wind creeps icily onto your particulars, fireworks light up the sky like a thousand burning pigeons and the firm pillow of 2026 rises triumphantly from the face of 2025, we must say thank you. (1/2)

It seems mad, since I've lived in the area for so long, that I never once ventured to find the street and house from 'Shaun of the Dead'. So today I did just that and I found it! 🏏🧟

Happy Gruyère!!! 🎉🧀🥖🍇🥂
Okay, Gruyère isn't featured but it's the only one that works as a pun and that's all that really matters. Goodnight! X

Isolation Cinema 2025 Round-up! As I say every year, the order isn't entirely set in stone because frankly I find it so difficult to 'officially' rank films, same with star ratings. Anyway, here are my Top 10 of this year. 198 films in total. Are you sitting comfortably? Then we'll begin...

Here it is - the final Isolation Cinema line-up of 2025 - and they can all be found on iPlayer. Sex, guns and family business. Happy Betwixtmas!

I was very fortunate to meet Tom back in 2014 when he very kindly agreed to meet me for coffee and a chat. Since then we have continued to keep in touch. I was thrilled that he agreed to come on the podcast. Also, The Ballad Of Wallis Island is one of the best films I saw this year!
The last clip of the year and the final one from the Archives. Episode 36 - our in-person (in-cafe) chat with the one and only Tom Basden.

This recording happened at quite short notice, hence having to meet in the cafe. It wasn't easy recording a chat in a packed Gails but we managed it. (1/3)

Since it's the last week of the year, here is an extra video clip for you from the most recent episode. Here is @marcusbrig.bsky.social discussing his love for, and devotion to, 'The Muppet Show'.

Fun fact for today: 'Some Like It Hot' when translated directly from it's Spanish title becomes 'With Skirts, It's Already Crazy'.

Isolation Cinema post-Christmas Day which comprised of three animated films which all turned out to be much better than I had anticipated.

Did I just spend the whole day binge-watching the entire 'Celebrity Traitors' from start to finish? Yes. Yes, I did. It's been emotional.

Merry Christmas everyone! There was an actual news story this morning about how the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience have discovered that laughing after telling a cracker joke makes it funnier for everyone else. I.e. laughter is infectious. And they even gave us this diagram to prove it. 🎅🎄☃️🥂❤️
