I was very fortunate to meet Tom back in 2014 when he very kindly agreed to meet me for coffee and a chat. Since then we have continued to keep in touch. I was thrilled that he agreed to come on the podcast. Also, The Ballad Of Wallis Island is one of the best films I saw this year!
The last clip of the year and the final one from the Archives. Episode 36 - our in-person (in-cafe) chat with the one and only Tom Basden.

This recording happened at quite short notice, hence having to meet in the cafe. It wasn't easy recording a chat in a packed Gails but we managed it. (1/3)

Since it's the last week of the year, here is an extra video clip for you from the most recent episode. Here is @marcusbrig.bsky.social discussing his love for, and devotion to, 'The Muppet Show'.

I first met Michelle when I went to see an improv graduation show and she stood out by a mile. Then I saw her in her hilarious sketch act SHIPS. Michelle is an incredible polymath - she acts, writes, improvises, produces and directs, and does all of them brilliantly! I always enjoy working with her!
Next Archive is from our regular section 'Chain(ge) Of Character' where our guest has to describe a new character based solely on a name given to them by the previous guest.

In Episode 35, Michelle Fahrenheim was given Alex Lunch. The timing of this clip is fitting but also pure coincidence. (1/3)

God I wish I could have been there.

It was an absolute pleasure getting to chat to Marcus about his sketch and character work. His passion and love for all things comedy is bound to bring you some cheer and put you in the holiday spirit (and God knows we all need a bit of that right now). Enjoy!
Only one week left till Christmas! So here is an early present for all of you, it's the last episode of S5 Part 1. And it's a real cracker - Episode 66 with special guest MARCUS BRIGSTOCKE (@marcusbrig.bsky.social). Alex spoke to Marcus about gap years, Club Seals and The Muppets. Enjoy! (1/2)

I first met The Sugdens when they came to a panel talk I was on at the London Podcast Festival back in 2017. They deserve every bit of success that comes their way because, apart from being undeniably hard-working, they are just the loveliest pair and I'm delighted to be able to call them friends.
Only 3 clips left to go in the Archive. Next up is from Episode 34 - our chat with the fabulous @chrissugden.bsky.social and @jensugden.bsky.social - our first duo to guest on the podcast. Here they discuss times when it comes to editing narrative sketch shows. (1/3)

I hadn't properly spoken to Hannah or Fiona since they made their C&P Radio 4 series so it was super to have the two of them guest on the pod. Check it out - it's the ideal remedy!
With all the winter bugs doing the rounds, why not stay in, get comfy, and enjoy brand new Episode 65, with special guests CROFT & PEARCE.

Alex spoke to Hannah and Fiona about performing in radio, in Italy, and in a field. Listen and imagine what Fi's brother would have to say about all this. (1/2)

I first met Steve at a comedy night back in 2014 and have gone to watch his various live shows, TV recordings and general comedy exploits since. It was lovely catching up with him on the podcast although his story about 'Go 8-Bit's TV development is BRUTAL. Hey! Listen!
A day later with the Archive clip but here it is - Episode 33 with the hilariously 'sociopathic' @stevemcneil.bsky.social.

Here is Steve talking about a highlight of his career - the time he was understudy for Rik Mayall. We highly recommend you go listen to the rest of this conversation. (1/3)

Good evening friends, Lynch here. Everything moves down a day in the OOC schedule this week due to me being in Wales all weekend and away from my laptop. So it will be:

• Latest Clip - Tuesday
• Archive Clip - Wednesday

In the meantime, enjoy this frog that dropped in tonight.

Obviously, I knew of Brona's work but this was my first time speaking to her and it was such a joy chatting to her about comedy and writing. We had an absolute laff. We hope you do too.
Episode 64 is here to warm your cockles on this cold winter day, and at the heart/hearth of it is special guest BRONA C. TITLEY. Alex spoke to Brona about all manner of topics including knights, nuns and never knowing where - or when - anything is going to lead. Let's Pod! (1/2)

Sooz is utterly hilarious and it was so much fun having her on the podcast. We talked about (amongst other things) Playstation, Reply Guys and Jerry Springer: The Opera. If you missed it the first time, check it out now!
Back to the Archives and for once we are choosing a clip from one of our regular sections where Alex asks his guest:

If you had to isolate with any TV comedy character, who would it be?

In Episode 32, here is the answer which @soozuk.bsky.social gave. How many of you would agree with her? (1/3)
