Ah.
INEOS first 10 months at #MUFC

- Extend ETH contract & sack him, costing £millions
- Appoint Ashworth & sack him, costing £millions
- Unprecedented ticket price rise
- Mass redundancies
- Overseeing worst on-field results since 1980s (28 league games, 35 points from takeover)

well they've been pathetic again. Need to take a long hard look in the mirror. this is lower mid table stuff. Howe must be under pressure but also the club need to actually be ruthless and revamp this squad. we've lost a year with Bruce era players still waaay too important...

Botman back, a couple of clever signings in January and we should start cooking. Need a bit of fresh impetus in the season, but it's a really close league this season, and 4th/5th are there for the taking for any of 8 teams.
Eddie Howe on Sven Botman progress:

"He is doing well, now he is fully training. He is looking good in the 11v11s, he is still a few weeks off from playing competitively but he is looking good. It has been a big boost to have him training, he is a big guy and a big presence and we missed him."

Stumbled upon this interview with Eddie & Simon Jordan. Don’t have much time for Jordan but he does extract some new stuff from Howe about the takeover, Mitchell, PSR, and England.

He plays it straight obviously but is pushed on a few things. A good watch for #NUFC fans

What a sensational night that was. Thought #nufc were superb in the first half, Isak unplayable. Tonali is such a thoroughbred. But they've set a standard now: dipping below it at Brentford or for Leicester (h) would prompt more questions.

The idea that an echo chamber is bad is purely through a we're here to talk politics first lens - which is a fallacy born of how the 'other places' algo rewards rage bait.

When people can activity build a community around share interests, discourse on stickier subjects becomes more respectful.
Opinion - The problem with Bluesky: It won’t broaden our horizons: In the wake of Donald Trump’s election win, the social-media platform has enjoyed a surge of new users looking for an alternative to Elon Musk’s X. But will it be useful, if it just creates an echo chamber for the left?

At the Stack/NUFC event as I was a curious. Half hour in, Razor doing well compèring, lots of corporate platitudes so far, understandably, as these things do. However, we have had first mention of ‘lots of money’ being invested in Newcastle by Brad Miller. Something unquestionably being teased.

When Anthony scored his first #ThreeLions goal on Sunday, he stayed true to a promise he made to her

This is a really interesting piece. I think it's an under covered topic, academy alumni being left to fend for themselves, and how far clubs should go to support. Do they? How much? Should they have a graduate networking/support scheme? Could they be ranked on how well they do this...?
In Dec 2016, Bournemouth’s U16s learned whether they had received a scholarship. Each player has taken differing paths since. Their stories are varied, some are difficult to read and the impact of Covid did not help released youngsters or mental health.

Was searching for the best thing to kick off my feed. I think Joelinton farting in warm weather practice is a pretty good way to start.

Looking forward to #nufc bluesky a hell of a lot more than bot infested Muskville.

Feels like hearing again after having been at a festival for three days.
