rip... didn't even have enough time to make some 🍿 and settle in like 2023. that johnson just didn't have the stamina to go for 15+ rounds (of voting) and had to cut some side deals.

Should I share this thing on social media that concerns me?

Ask yourself 3 questions first:

1. Is the source of the information evident and qualified?
2. Why would that source want me to know this?
3. Am I feeling strong emotion about this?

Spending my teens and early 20s being adjacent to 4chan & edgelord culture, there are just some words/phrases/memes that I'll never be able to see as innocuous "internet slang/culture" and *will* cringeflinch side eye when I do see them

I can only hope that this means I hear less about MSNBC from my family........ But I doubt it. (No it's not as bad as Fox but their talking heads are almost as repellent to me, a known hater of TV & news personalities)

Affected worldweary cynicism is not, as a general rule, a particularly good guide to political strategy.
Getting a lot of replies along the lines of "oh, you rube, you still think the law matters" and it feels strategically foolish to just concede that it doesn't. Contest everything. Expose the hypocrisy.

It's a real shame that Tumblr took so long to monetize via user support. Given the amount of videos and art they host, I don't think users could ever fully fund it but I think it could've helped. We've been lulled into thinking things are free but it's that *we* are being sold to advertisers.

They've been doing utility work on my street all week and have those big steel sheets covering a massive hole in the road. It's in front of my house so everytime a car drives over it my whole house rattles. I have such a headache, please finish tomorrow 😭🙏

Last month, the so-called American Academy of Sciences and Letters gave a medal to Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, who advocated for mass COVID infection. NY Post framed it as a “top award.”

We looked into it. AASL is 2 years old—part of a right-wing dark money network trying to transform elite universities.

Well what a week! Some of my larger and posher wool sculpture pieces will be heading to a gallery shop in Knighton in early November! I am busy stabbing wool for craft fairs as well! It’s busy but in a really positive way!

About a year ago I tried out needlefelting and it took me a bit to get into it, but now I love that I can stab wool to create beautiful things. Truly 100/10 as a stress relief hobby.

It's eval/promotion season at the office and working in a STEM field as a non-STEM person gives an interesting perspective bc I see brilliant ppl promoted due to their research/results but they are AWFUL managers which ends up holding their teams back.
