This is an oviraptorosaur associated with her egg (grey colored). There wasn’t a generic name provided. The original description by Jin et al (2019) didn’t assign her to a genus, only suggesting two genera from the same formation as possibilities.

My favorites, as you’d expect, are the #tyrannosaurs, including the Nanotyrannus-scaled Asiatyrannus xui from late Cretaceous, the tiny feathered Dilong paradoxus from early Cretaceous, and the crested proceratosaurid Guanlong wucaii from late Jurassic.

I went to the Shanghai Natural History Museum on the last day of 2025. This time there was a special exhibition about Chinese dinosaurs, which is what this thread is for. I’m starting with the holotype of Lufengosaurus huenei, the first non-avian dinosaur described by Chinese paleontologists.

Paths converge again when you reach the Cretaceous Alberta fossils (5), which would be much better lit than they are now. Scolosaurus and Edmontosaurus are joined by the mummified tail from the collection. Returning Gorgosaurus cast and Centrosaurus skull are just beyond.

休日3日目、顔をしかめることも作り笑顔を浮かべることもなくなったので、目のクマとシワが綺麗さっぱり消えた。

しばらく休めると分かってはいても実感が沸かず、明日か明後日ぐらいにまた仕事が始まるような恐怖感がある。
