There was once a plan to run a bus lane and a protected bicycle lanes down Westwood Boulevard. It might have been one of Los Angeles' great promenades. Instead, NIMBYs killed the proposal, and now it's a round-the-clock car sewer where people randomly die in extremely violent ways.

Made a joke to my mom where I was playing up being tough because I have tattoos and she started roasting me (“they’re soooo scared of your lavender and paintbrush”) and it’s even funnier knowing I also have a fruity little statue now too
So fun fact, at the exact moment that the official Huntington Library account posted this photo today, I was getting a tattoo inspired by that exact statue

My agency is going to be holding community meetings about a project coming to my city and I think it would be funny if I went in a really obvious disguise to say something like “project seems great thanks. anyway, I think the government relations department deserves a raise”
