As a former sailor irl, I can guarantee that Alectrona can and would.
Though nowadays it's 31, in line with the tolls of the memorial bell. (29 for the crew of the Fitz, 1 for all lives lost at sea, 1 for Gordon Lightfoot.)

-She has a large scar on the left upper side of her torso, this is from when she was Venat's apprentice and she put herself between an incoming attack and Venat.

It's only been a few years since Alectrona first became aware of Starlight, so she's not had much time to form traditions, but this year will be the first time she'll be experiencing Starlight with Venat.

With Alectrona being an Ancient and one who isn't originally from Amaurot, I had to fill in a lot of gaps in the official lore when creating her story.
For example, I created a whole Island a few days sailing time from Amaurot which is where Alectrona is from!

Well Alectrona was kinda alright for a few days... Then she started to go downhill and experienced headaches, nausea, dizzy spells and random collapses.
She ended up falling into a coma not long after and the Scions had to try and figure out what the fuck puts an Ancient into a coma.
