I’m just saying I think someone could redo Godzilla vs Biollante now but you’d have to make it more HR Giger coded instead of the military adventure film that they usually are. Like really leaning into the Kaiju being a vicious monster…

I’d argue that some of the greatest science fiction stories actually being short stories is great because as a woman men go “I bet you don’t even know the book” and I get to be like.. “you think I didn’t read the 10 page short story by Harlan Ellison”

I made so much garland from just a few pieces of construction paper that I wrapped the leftovers over the (fake) fireplace. I’m making more star garland to throw around it too.

Today I found out that beer makes me sneeze. Every sip I sneezed. I’m actually not a drinker and I haven’t had been in years I’m mostly drinking delicious fruity drinks or espresso martinis if I do.. so what’s that about?

We got married 9 years ago today! 11/11 and I love celebrating with my best friend. Almost 16 years together and it has been all laughs, adventures and A LOT of cuddling playing video games/watching shows/being hermit monsters. Forever and ever 😘🥰

I was showing my mom my Christmas diy stuff and she said “yeah you’ve always had a kitschy house” …… and knowing my mom it was probably low key a dig since she’s a Crate and Barrel ad house.. but I like the idea that I’d be known for having an eclectic house

This world fucking sucks right now it’s true but I see some of the art that is coming out from people all around us. Even small things like beautifully intricate Halloween costumes and I realized… we’re heading into a renaissance. People are inspired again.

UPDATE: The Senate votes 53-47 to shoot down the Baldwin amendment to extend ACA funds for 1 year. A party-line vote with every Republican rejecting it.
An important vote in this series: Tammy Baldwin’s proposal to extend ACA expiring funds for 1 year. It’s structured as a motion to table (i.e. scrap it from the amendment tree). But it’ll show the appetite (or lack thereof) in the Senate to address this issue.

I try to teach my kids that acceptance isn’t accountability. Just because you finally admit that you did something does not mean you don’t do the work to make it right.. and I feel like a lot of adults need to hear that.

My unpopular opinion is I actually find Luwaxana really enjoyable with her annoyance. I think it’s enjoyable knowing that she feels what everyone feels and she keeps doing it. It’s like an eff you but also a deep liberation that women shouldn’t have to take your feelings into account to be happy.
