Political violence is deporting thousands. Political violence is refusing social services to the poor and needy. Political violence is actively finding a genocide.

Today was gun violence. Our society is surrounded by guns. To the point that shooting each other is a solution people consider.

I have my original vaccine booklet from when I was a child. 16 shots, 7 different days from birth to 3 years old. 2 more shots before 7th grade. Born in 1997 in the US, 18 mandatory shots during my childhood. That's it.
RFK Jr often lies about the number of vaccines children get.

"I count 33 doses from birth to 18 years on the schedule-- many can be given as combinations," said Dr. Pia Pannaraj, a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Infectious Diseases.

RFK Jr. said US children receive up to 92 vaccine doses. How many shots do kids really get?
HHS Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr. suggested children receive up to 90 vaccine doses. Doctors say that number is closer to 30 doses before age 18.

I wouldn’t piss on Charlie Kirk if he was burning, but this is the correct take:
Political violence disproportionately hurts people with less power, not people with more power. Political violence will disproportionately hurt people of color and women and LGBTQ people. It’s not fair, but that’s the way it works. Celebrating political violence means at best indifference to that.
Political violence is bad. It usually begets more political violence.

Celebrating political violence is bad. It usually encourages more political violence, against various targets.

Campus shootings are bad. They make everyone on campus less safe.

It's bad that what I wrote here is controversial.

I am not sad that Charlie Kirk is no longer on this earth. His hateful rhetoric spurred on individuals who killed innocent people. I feel bad for his children who had to watch their father die. That's it.

Every year:

January: Yup, it’s going to make sense to have our convening the last weekend in June!

Last Friday in June at 10:00 am ET: What the fuck were we thinking having our convening this weekend?

Last Friday in June at 12:00 pm ET: There is literally no place I’d rather be this weekend.
This evening kicks off our 2025 Unf*ck the Law Convening in DC. We are thrilled to have an amazing line up of speakers - including our keynote speaker NC Supreme Court Justice Allison Riggs - as well participants from across the legal system join us! #PPP25

Being at #PPP25 reminds us that we are not as alone as we feel some days. No matter what the news reports and what politicians have the largest platforms, there is a progressive movement within the legal community. Chin up.

I spent much of yday horrified by the Court's decisions, exacerbated by early flight exhaustion, isolation, & tbh a jagoff being awful online

But today I'm at @peoplesparity.bsky.social learning from great panels about law, oligarchy, & organizing; seeing & making friends; and more

Feels real good

It's official! All FB and IG accounts are set to be deleted February 20,2025.

There is a strange heaviness in my chest as I deleted everything. These accounts have existed for so long. It's almost like chopping off long hair for a pixie cut.

TIRED: "well obviously this thing Biden did on his way out will be overturned immediately, so it means nothing"
WIRED in a way that's *useful*: "Biden says the ERA is ratified, and if [when] SCOTUS says it's not, they're illegitimately taking rights away from women and we need to demand them back"
