This is the point - we don’t just vaccinate to protect ourselves. We vaccinate to protect the community as a whole.
Many don't realize that the most vulnerable or immune compromised depend on the rest getting vaccinated properly to keep diseases from spreading out of control. It's not just “my body, my choice” when it comes to saving lives.

There are a number of situations like this in rural Alaska, where the wheels of Justice move so slowly they sometimes stop.
Someone is getting away with killing Eunice Whitman in Bethel a decade ago. Alaska’s slow justice system let it happen. www.adn.com/alaska-news/... (Reported in partnership with @propublica.org)

Update - my husband spent part of this very cold weekend out in the coop adding a second heater and getting the heated waterer hooked up. Only nine years into chicken keeping and we finally have the coop truly set for winter. ☺️
This is what the water for the chickens looks like when it’s below zero and you’re too lazy to hook up your heated waterer. The yellow color is from the vitamin mix that I put in.
