Courage is contagious. But how do we catch it?

For months, @amifieldsmeyer.bsky.social and I have been asking dissidents and activists from around the world how we can topple authoritarianism.

After Donald Trump rescinded on most of his tariffs, the market rebounded. The next day it fell, when the reality of the conflict with China set in. Benjamin Wallace-Wells unpacks the danger of the President’s posturing.
What the World Learned from Donald Trump’s Tariff Week
The danger behind the President’s posturing is that, by so emphatically insisting on America’s indispensability, he may be undermining it.

-Protected veterans from predatory lenders
-Protected consumers' data from corporate abuse

Since tariffs raise prices, the logical conclusion is that people will buy LESS, not more. Especially those laid off, fired, or worrying about their Social Security payments.

Less consumer spending = low consumer confidence = recession.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.
