In a permanent state of vexation.

I want every human being on the planet to have free food, shelter clothing, medical care and higher education. I want every human being to be able to live freely in gender, religion, sexuality et al. Every vote, every government policy, every political decision I make is weighed against these goals.
Still one of my favourite episodes of all time... Utterly wild. Completely unhinged. Amazing work.

Absolutely incredible sequence from CNN.

DEEP HEAVY SIGH.

As a neighbour of Venezuela... I have wondered if Americans understand how sanctions work from a practical standpoint. Cuz they keep screaming that a country/ leader is bad cuz the people are poor. But the US literally destroyed their ability to make money and buy goods... soo 🤷‍♀️
The neoconservative theory of change is that you can cripple a country's national economy via collective punishment and induce mass protests about the economy which you then in turn use as evidence of discontent with the regime for a casus belli to topple it.

The point is to collectively punish in the hope that it induces massive upheaval and if they don't do that you just punish them more. When it doesn't work it's taken as evidence that the people haven't been punished enough. Also if you ever think about doing this to the US or Israel you're a bigot.

To be blunt Americans are just used to hitting people with every stick imaginable and they aren't used to being hit back. It's very likely they won't be hit back for a while but I do think it's inevitable that it happens.

Someone on Twitter put the state of international political discourse really well when they said “the emperor has no clothes but the jesters are still dancing.”

Me quietly announcing to my cat that it is I climbing into (my) bed for a nap so she doesn't jump awake.

(Sometimes it is the less favoured human come to sneak attack kisses.)

And so she stretches and rolls over to give me her belly.

Nice Sunday afternoon. Now if only the migraine would go away

I'm not trying to be mean... but if I invite you over for lunch and you show up at my house at 10 am be prepared for me to fucking ignore your ass till noon cuz WHY?

The coffee has not entered my fucking bloodstream. The cats are still eating breakfast. You know I'm not an early riser. WTF.

Yes. You do have to choose the lesser of two evils. It's called being a fucking adult. You have to make the best possible choice even when the choices aren't great. If certain people practiced some kind of common sense instead of tantrumming and virtue signalling we wouldn't be in this mess. 🤷‍♀️

Almost a month ago... and now they're not even pretending. Maybe it's only good and right that the mask is off. I couldn't take the gaslighting anymore.
I actually do not want the press to use the words "regime change" wrt Venezuela. Please say what it is.

America wants to install a puppet government so they can steal their resources.

It's not altruism. America has spent decades undermining Venezuela's govt so they can orchestrate this theft.

This is what the US does. This is what the US has always done. Anyone who claims otherwise is either intentionally lying or effectively misled.

Please don’t be fooled.

People will say 'it's inevitable' like that wasn't how they sold NFTs & Bitcoin, your avg criminal's favorite currency.

It's shitty at everything it tries to do.

It's causing societal & environmental damage at a speed & scale we've never seen before.

But you want a 'conversation'.

Well, I don't.
