Catra, Kyle, and the Brightmoon Princess Glimmer - are walking in the hallway. Kyle is reading the days schedule, while Glimmer is grilling Catra for details. Glimmer looks smug. "Sooo... how do you feel about your wife-to-be? Is she hot? Are you excited? I hear that the Northmen are easy on the eyes. I bet you're excited, I've seen the painting..." Kyle is going on with the schedule paying the regal ladies no mind. "...-the ceremony will take place two days from now, and the Ritual will take place the night after." "Aww, 4 days of waiting, I admire your restraint." Glimmer quips. Catra finally break her royal composure and turns to Glimmer with desperation. "Sparkles would you PLEASE behave in front of my to-be!" Glimmer waves her off. "Oh pysh, you bore! I am perfectly capable of-" Catra is not impressed and rolls her eyes when Glimmer's confident composure completely falters when the door to the meetingroom opens. "- behaaaving..." Glimmer stares with wide eyes, as she sees Adora standing by the meeting table with her arms exposed by her garb. "Oh my GODS!!" she exclaimes, making Catra panick with embarrassment. Catra cling to Glimmer, desperately trying to keep her quiet and get her to compose herself. "Hush Sparkles!" "Heavens Catra! Would you mind sharing?? Easy on the eyes is an understatement!" "I told you to behave!! What are you doing?!" This is the moment Adora notice them, and turns to them with a cheery greeting. Catra finds herself on the floor tussling with Glimmer, while Kyle just sighs.

Catra turns to Adora as they continue speaking, a surprised expression on her face, though she is still shielding herself with her arms crossed over her chest. "The truth is that I've been so excited to meet you that I started thinking of things I want to show you, teach you, and experience with you..." Adora blushes at her own words. "I- uh, forgot that we have not yet met, and that you may not even like me... Well, what I wanted to say with all this--" Adora stands up straight, Catra still watches them, her guard slowly lowering. Adora blush and averts her eyes as they shrug and scratch the top of their head. "-is that what type of union this is, is all up to you. This is your land, I trust that you know best how to handle it, I don't need to lay my finger in it, or how to say..." They blush even more. "And even if I find you very vacker*..." they clear their throat. "-there is no need for us to have a relationship outside of official business... if that is what you prefer..." [Translation: Vacker = beautiful in Swedish] Catra's tail poof at their words, and a blush spread on her cheeks. "I just wanted you to know! Good night!" Adora quickly retreat into the castle, leaving Catra stunned. She chuckles. "Maybe it will be okay. What a dork."

Later that evening, Catra is on the balcony, gazing out over her city and the waters from which the Northerners came. The sun is settling beyond the horizon. Her bodylanguage is guarded, her arms wrapped over her chest and mouth hidden behind her hand as she ponder. "What am I getting myself into..." she thinks. "Am I ready for this? Am I truly okay with this union? I know nothing about the Northerners, is it garanteed that this will be profitable for our countries?" Adora slowly approach the balcony from behind Catra, knocking on the doorway to gain her attention. "Lady Catherine?" Catra wasn't startled, but she's apprehensive. "Yes?" "May I join you?" "...sure?" They watch the starry sky in silence for a while, before Adora speaks up without looking at Catra. "I sense your doubt... you worry that my people are harsh, and you wonder if we will challenge your rule... your customs... your way of living. And I bear some of the blame for it. I appologize for my excitement." Catra is surprised at being read so accurately by someone she doesn't know.

She zones back into the conversation betweek Kyle and Bow just as Bow continues. "...so I assume you are ready for the Marriage Ritual, time is of the essence!" Kyle stares blankly. "Eh? Of course?" Bow smiles. "Amazing! Our people have already started the preparations!" Catra's eyes bug out of her head for a moment, she snatches Kyle by the collar and pulls him in close. "What sort of RITUAL??" she asks through gritted teeth. "I don't know my Lady... it hasn't been communicated." Catra slouch down with her elbows on the table, her mind filling with whatever nightmare scenatios this Northerner marriage ritual may be. Her fur bristles as her first thought is of Bow offering them a bowl of blood. "Hereby drink this goats blood and be wed!" Then her mind switch to a sacrificial ritual, where a northern man lifts a sword above a goats head and yells: "And by this sacrifice, ancestors praise this union!" Her last, and most disturbing thought, is of her and Adora in their candlelit marrital bed, surrounded by her advisors and the Northerner Bow. Kyle gleefully say: "Go on M'Lady, it's not official until thee copulate, 'tis the Ritual Rule!"

Later in the day, they are having a celebratory feast. Catra, Kyle and Bow is seated besides each other and the two men are chatting. "I am excited at the prosperous future that this union will bring for your countries!" Kyle exclaims. "So is the North, I assure you!" Bow shares Kyle's excitement. "Oh, and thank you kindly for the feast, Lady Catherine!" Catra is slouched in her throne, cradling a cup of wine against her chest. She's not impressed with the whole situation thus far. "Yeah, you're welcome..." She glances to the opposite side of the table, almost spilling her wine when she meets the eyes of Adora lost in thought, they're staring whistfully right at her. "I can't believe she's even more beautiful in real life!" Adora thinks and lets out a sigh. "I can't believe my fortune! Thank you Gods!" they raise their fist in a celibratory gesture, while Catra hides her face in her wine cup. "Please stop staring at me!" she thinks.

Catra gets up in Adora's face and points a stern finger at them. "You are NOT lighting A FUCKING FIRE in MY citizen's hall!" Adora is looking puzzled. Kyle is sobbing, close to faint in the background. "My Lady, she has doomed us. We are to die at the hands of these handsome Northerners... farewell" "Shut up, Kyle!" Catra snapps back before continuing her rage fueled rant, stepping even closer into Adora's face. "And WHO do you think you are walking in here like you own the place?!!" "I should-!! ...ehm..." Adora has smiles and gently grasps the hand Catra was jabbing at their face, Catra is immediately caught off guard and her rage disarmed. "I-I should... uhh..." Adora gaze affectionatly and appologetically at Catra, who blush at her held hand. "I see that I have made an offence, please forgive my behavior." Adora says. They reach out and gently lift Catra's chin so that they can look each other in the eye before they continue speaking. "You are- how do I say? A spicy* woman. Not fearful of letting your opinions be known. [Explanation: Adora means to say fiery, as in passionate and strong willed, English is her second language] Adora's gaze in increadibly affectionate, and a blush dust her painted cheeks. "I like that. I don't want you hiding your mind from me, hjärtat mitt." [Translation: Hjärtat mitt = literal translation is Heart of mine, a term of endearment]

Kyle, Catra and Adora step into the grand hall of Catra's castle. Adora throws out their arms in amazement. "What a fantastic hall! A place for stories of old, no doubt! And with much mead added in the future, I will ensure, hah hah!" "You WHAT now?" Catra snapps, her hands on her his as she stares daggers at the back of Adora's head. Kyle is sweatting. "My Lady, please!" he pleades. The three of them continue walking through the grand hall, as Adora continues. "Unforutnately your windows is really stupid, very easy to get in, we will fix, no worry!" Catra seethes behind her. Kyle is pale and sweatting buckets as he trails behind her. "Your highness, I'd like to r-remind you that th-the Northmen are capable conquerors and that this marriage is a huge political alliance in our favor..." Adora is still going on, this time pointing at the ceiling. "I must ask also, you lack airhole, I worry for when we will start the hearth... we can easy fix airhole of you want." Catra's tail and hair bristles as she rages. "What?! NO!!" Kyle panicks. "My Lady please!"

They stand in silence for a moment, before Adora lifts their hand in a greeting. "Vel møtt, I am Adora!" [Translation: Vel møtt = Well met] They lean in slightly, Catra is still blushing. "I am happy to see you in the flesh finally..." Adora very obviously eyes Catra up and down, as a blush spread on their painted cheeks. Catra recoils, offended. "Are ALL northerners dogs?! Or is it just you?!" Catra screams at Adora, who looks puzzled. In the background Kyle is panicking. Adora looks sheepish "F-forgive?" they ask, while Catra turns away from her with a grumpy but nervous expression. "Good thing I've already had the painting relocated..."

Her advisor and personal servant, Kyle, stands beside her looking excited. A hooded figure steps off a longboat. The hooded figure takes of their cloak and gaze at the sky. It's Adora, and they're adorned in the finest Northern silver and metals, and is wearing traditional warriors paint and furrs. Catra stalls and blush as she takes in the view. Cursing under her breath; "Holy shit..."
