Biomedical Sciences PhD. The more I see, the more liberal I become.

Coffee fan, garden fan, science fan, peace fan, humanity fan.

I would love affordable childcare, strict gun laws, very high teacher salaries, and a wealth cap.
Wishing peace, love, and equity from shared soil this holiday weekend.

Spread kindness and compassion.

Along with abolishing ICE we should abolish all for-profit prison companies in the country.

W.E.B. Du Bois on Robert E. Lee:

“Either he knew what slavery meant when he helped maim and murder thousands in its defense, or he did not. If he did not he was a fool. If he did, Robert Lee was a traitor and a rebel–not indeed to his country, but to humanity and humanity’s God.”

I don’t know how many times we have to say this, but the U.S. government is not a business and shouldn’t be run like one. It’s a service—for the people.

@slotkin.senate.gov I have a very hard time believing "Alpha energy" is what got you elected. Much more likely, it was the backing provided by the DNC. You maintained control of a Democratic controlled seat *barely*. Stop voting for Trump appointments. Change course or you will lose your seat.
Sen. Slotkin says Democrats need to get 'Alpha energy' and fight for middle class
As Democrats grapple with President Trump’s first 100 days in office, they also contend with a minority in both the House and Senate. Looking ahead at the long road to the 2026 midterm elections, some...

I dream of a country without gun violence, a country where we can send our kids to school, go to bars, places of worship, voting stations, and even the grocery store, without worrying that someone has a gun and might use it. #MothersDayWishes #MomSky

Please, I just want America to strive to be kind and compassionate. Governments and agencies should exemplify our most honorable values. Everyone deserves dignity and security. Kids deserve to be safe. America's moral debt is growing.

Last night was the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride to warn the Minutemen of approaching British troops.

I want to take a moment to share an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence's grievances against King George III.

Remind you of anyone?

Keep in mind the US prison system that thrives off incarceration. If there was any chance of conviction that would add to the US prison population, they absolutely would. Draw your own conclusions, I guess

Over 500 student visas have been revoked in the US. Angry and disgusted are just a few emotions I feel.
I even overheard a conversation yesterday where someone's friend had their student visa revoked trying to re-enter the country. Every community is being affected and ATTACKED!
Where Students Have Had Their Visas Revoked
The Trump administration has quietly revoked hundreds of student visas across the country, wreaking havoc on the system.

Surely supporting votes for articles of impeachment and removal are justified. If you haven't made up your mind already, you're probably going to be on the wrong side of history.

Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren has proposed a 2% annual wealth tax on people with $50M+ net worth, and a 6% annual wealth tax on billionaires. They grow their balances more than these percentages, so it will not cause anyone to become poor. The benefits to society would be huge. #TaxTheRich

The large number of billionaires in the US makes me think we have something that nowhere else in the world has.

Massive amounts of legal tax evasion.

All the universities disbanding DEI initiatives and saying they will do what the regime asks, all in the hopes that their funding won't be cut, are acting pretty naive. No way this administration is planning on continued federal funding to universities. Disgraceful.
