I will never understand why they replaced community submitted subtitles for this nonsense
Real human people were happy and willing to make subtitles in a variety of languages for free, and the creator had full control of what submissions were used
And they GOT RID OF IT

It finally happened. I finally ran into a Youtube video with that awful auto-dubbing feature turned on.
The video is an interview and it's... not even watchable now. Like the auto-dubbing is just saying random nonsensical words. 😭
Why did they ever think this was a good feature to implement?

Hoy en el día de los inocentes, os recuerdo que mucha gente neurosivergente le cuesta entender las bromas o no ver una literalidad. Considero que es una tradición rancia, pero si vais a hacer bromas tened en cuidado de que podéis hacer mucho daño y respetad a los demás y sobretodo evitad las pesadas

Desde hace mucho que la casa del libro es una empresa al servicio de Planeta, que no hace más que desplazar librerías locales abusando de poner descuentos que pueden asumir. No me extraña que se hayan sumado a la IA. Comprad en librerías de barrio e id a la biblioteca, no se merecen ni un euro
Me sigue resultando muy chocante que una empresa quiera anunciarse así de forma voluntaria.
