VC only Rails dependency is ActiveSupport. I am pretty sure that if there is a breaking change in ActiveSupport it would be picked up by a CI running against Rails main.
yes. I have opened several issues to gem with a link to @byroot.bsky.social comment here github.com/svenfuchs/ra...

for those gems every last major Rails release was just updating that line. I think having in the readme and in the CI matrix the official supported version is good enough.

Dear gem maintainers 👋

Rails 8.1 just dropped, but many gems can’t be used because of overly strict gemspec constraints.

Please don’t hard-restrict Rails versions, let us test early and report real issues sooner! ❤️

Thanks
1h48:44 is quite sporty IMHO
As you are getting serious into running probably time to switch to Garmin for the watch 😂

The talk recordings from @rmrubyconf.bsky.social 2025 are now live on @rubyevents.org, go check them out!

We also just shipped a new look for the featured section on the home page! 🎨
Congrats this is an excellent achievement
If they offer you back the access will you accept it ? I think I read some maintainers refused when they were invited back.
Isn’t it the role of the foundation ?

Ruby Gems and Bundler will be moved into the Ruby organization.

* Ruby Core and Ruby Central will be managing it together
* No changes to license, IP, or copyright
* rubygems.org operated by Ruby Central

I don't like taking credits form others 😀
ah yes not really a gem though. I think most of the integration tests were generated by authentication-zero from what I remember
Curious about the details because I don't have any gem as far as I know
Preparing an event too it only really deviated when I felt from a horse 😭

Additionally to collecting stamps in your physical @therubypassport.com, you can now also collect and see these stamps on @rubyevents.org!

We now show a new "Mutual Events" tab when viewing an other person's @rubyevents.org profile!

Thanks to @chaelcodes.bsky.social for this great contribution!

I agree and even more so: what if the problem is us, the Ruby community, not contributing to our key nonprofit enough? We did not have ownership because we didn’t show up, and RC ended up being squeezed by a big donor because they did not have enough sponsors, stability and support.
*Taps sign* If you don't like it do something about it, and complaining on social media counts for nothing.
RE: Ruby Central funding, and a consolidation of power with companies like Shopify.

For years now the lead funder of Ruby and Rails initiatives has been Shopify, full stop. They've contributed heavily in both time and money, and through that have left a substantial impact on Ruby and Rails.

I waste way too much time binging random crap on Youtube. If I need downtime, I might just as well watch something useful, right?

I think I found a hack to help with that.

Now I just redirect to RubyEvents and watch some talk 😅

I just released Herb v0.4.3! 🎉

It's been another super productive week for Herb! This week I mostly focused on improving the formatter and fixing bugs in general!

It's starting to take shape and feels great to use! I really love where this is going! ❤️
I agree 💯. Would you have some recommendations ?
One way I see would be to have some faceted search directly from the talks index so that we could from that page filter by topics
I would like to improve the user experience on RubyEvents for watching content. What would be the killers features for you to make it your default viewing platform.

Please comment with what ever ideas you might have everything is always valuable
