So they didn’t like the ad. Let’s just post Reagan’s 5 min speech against tariffs as it appears on YouTube.

Over and over. On all platforms (some of y’all are still on X).

Thank you, @kamlager-dove.house.gov and @repjohnnyo.bsky.social for your leadership! There is still time for OMB to release the FY25 awards.

#ExchangesMatter
Trump is illegally withholding Congressionally-designated funds from the State Department for exchange programs that are essential to our diplomatic relationships.

As Ranking Member of the Subcommittee focused on public diplomacy, @repjohnnyo.bsky.social & I called on Trump to release the funds.

July 10 is a bad day for my little state. My home in the Northeast Kingdom. I was there for the flooding last year and it was devastating. Thinking of everyone impacted this year.
For the third year in a row, to the day, extreme weather has hit Vermont. Some locations in the Northeast Kingdom and Addison County were heavily impacted last night. We will work together to make sure everyone has what they need to recover, as Vermonters do. I’m thinking of everyone affected.

There are entire schools all over rural America that won’t be able to open in the Fall if their teachers can’t get visas.

Military families expecting au pairs will have to find alternative child care that may be prohibitively expensive.

Tourist hubs in the U.S. will be chronically understaffed.
This isn’t just a suspension of new student visa interviews, it’s also all new interviews for exchange visitors.

Many exchange visitors work at summer camps and other similar programs. This could have an immediate impact on many American businesses as well, not just higher ed.

Really appreciate what I’m understanding is an incomplete if not unverified news report on a Sunday morning. Seriously. Weekends are for my kid and I don’t want to be attached to my freaking phone all day responding to (justifiable) panic from every corner of my personal and professional life.
