I've been keeping nicely busy with a variety of musical opportunities these days! And if you look closely, there's a new project in there: Disco Revue. Same band members as the Petty Nicks Experience... different project. We already have three shows this summer with the Disco Revue!

What do you WANT to do? What do you want to HAVE DONE? Are those two things different?
I didn’t want to hike the Ben Lomond Track, because I was already tired and it was a 10-mile, 5000-ft hike.
But I wanted to have done it, so I made myself do it. Glad I did.
Life lesson.

I swam in the Rakaia river (S Island New Zealand) on my last camping night after a strenuous hike. Went hard and was in the zone, a 4-hour hike in 2.5 hours. Sat in the river for about 10 minutes and felt warm inside while my skin was cold. Sublime.

Well, I’ve sure been moving while I’ve been in New Zealand. My daily mileage average for the past week is 8.1, and my average daily elevation gain is about 1000ft!

January 5, when we (The Petty Nicks Experience) played a show in Puerto Vallarta, feels like a million years ago. Feels weird to post this now when it seems like the world has fallen apart since then… but call it nostalgia. It was a great time with great friends.
