I’ve been bummed out lately, but an epic day off skiing at A-Basin with a good friend helped get me out of the slump.

I've been keeping nicely busy with a variety of musical opportunities these days! And if you look closely, there's a new project in there: Disco Revue. Same band members as the Petty Nicks Experience... different project. We already have three shows this summer with the Disco Revue!

I swam in the Rakaia river (S Island New Zealand) on my last camping night after a strenuous hike. Went hard and was in the zone, a 4-hour hike in 2.5 hours. Sat in the river for about 10 minutes and felt warm inside while my skin was cold. Sublime.

Wanaka, New Zealand. I’m definitely winning on weather right now. I kept getting winter weather advisories on my phone for Denver yesterday.

Well, I’ve sure been moving while I’ve been in New Zealand. My daily mileage average for the past week is 8.1, and my average daily elevation gain is about 1000ft!

January 5, when we (The Petty Nicks Experience) played a show in Puerto Vallarta, feels like a million years ago. Feels weird to post this now when it seems like the world has fallen apart since then… but call it nostalgia. It was a great time with great friends.
