I know we talk shit about Google Chrome eating all the memory it can, but let's be real, the culprit is people with their insane habit of having over 25+ tabs open.

We should be talking about why Slack uses 10GB+ of memory consistently.

Microsoft, for all of its problems, has a pretty decent SDK for LLM Agents. It's kind of nice to be able to build these things and integrate directly into existing .NET applications with locally running LLMs.

We’re glad Gov. Newsom signed AB 566, which makes it easy for Californians to tell companies what they want to happen with their own personal information. The easier it is to exercise your rights, the more power you have.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio insisted “no one has died” as a result of U.S. foreign aid cuts. In Myanmar, the grieving father of a 2-year-old boy who died after their food rations were cut calls such claims a lie.
Starving children screaming for food as US aid cuts unleash devastation and death across Myanmar
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has repeatedly said “no one has died" because of his government’s decision to gut its foreign aid program.

Solar is no longer “alternative energy.”
It is the energy of the future.

America risks remaining a petro-state, clinging to the past, instead of becoming an electro-state, embracing the future.

Dude holy cow building authentication systems is actually kind of fun. On a related note, I appreciate the AWS STS team a lot more now.

I miss network engineering :(

The cloud is great and all, but sometimes it is fun to plan and build solid networks and fix simpler things like routing issues.

ML .NET is simply not talked about enough. It's been treating me well as a novice ML engineer. Simply put, it's just a solid framework with great performance. More people should use it imo.

Terraform is multiples faster than CloudFormation. This is crazy how fast infra can get built compared to AWS proprietary tech.

For the #machinelearning bros, ML .NET is insanely fast. Highly recommend checking it out. I might try and generate benchmarks for this project I'm working on to show how crazy it is. Absolutely insane response time (<=9 ms avg).

Man, writing durable, scalable, and performant applications is actually kinda hard lmfao

To be clear, I already knew it was difficult, but I have newfound respect for the devs who are working on stuff like this. I promise I'll talk less trash 🤣

By far, my favorite use case for LLMs is helping with mundane things that do not require critical thinking.

Example, I needed to generate a MUCH larger dataset for a project I'm working on based off of a very decent, but tiny sample that I collected.
