Mostly gonna talk about manga and comics, but I don't really know what I'll get a fixation for next.

Was sorting out my library today after years and these are the only non graphic novels that I own. I need to get back into reading these

This was great. Filled to the brim with old malayalam sentimentality but deftly executed so as not to overwhelm. Mohanlal excels here, showcasing a staggering performance that's devastating in its subtlety.

The trees have seen far more than we ever will. They know of the things we keep quiet, the secrets we don't speak of, the ones we shouldn't speak of. With a stellar screenplay that focuses on the emotional elements of a mystery, Kishkindha Kaandam is great film.

Sancharram (The Journey) by Ligy J. Pullapally is tragically not spoken more about, a tragic lesbian romance set in rural Kerala. Two girls who found love forced to abandon it due to traditional Cisheteronormative forces and yet they can't deny it exists as much as they want to.

What are we to the eternal fissures, to structures concocted and thought of eons before our time, to structures that will last eons after. Insignificance is too shallow of a word to describe our place among them. Manjummel Boys taps into that shallowness to try and understand.

Stylistically incoherent, narratively all over the place, a movie that begs for your emotional involvement shamelessly, but the movie tries to tirelessly convince you of its toothless liberal commentary only to bare its hidden fangs in the second half. I enjoyed every second

Ram V, Anand RK, and Aditya Bidikar's human drama about what it's like to grow up in India rips.

Perhaps not as refined as their later works, but it's really sharp, and there's a sheer purity that I just appreciate in here.

A book about dreamers and the difficult realities they find themselves in.

Really lovely and serene sci-fi drama at the twilight of things, as Ashinano's cartooning evokes a wonderful sense of mood and lets us just sit with the characters.

Easily the best Western Sports Drama I've read?

Leong is tremendous, and this is just rich human drama that really holds up.

The colorwork alone in this is so sick.

Probably my favorite Taiyo Matsumoto? It just edges out PING PONG for me, though man, that's a high bar.

But I adore this wandering narrative slipping in and out of people's lives during middle age, as they're caught in between things, unable to try let go.

Very real human drama. Lovely work.

Moore and Campbell is a meeting of two singular geniuses in the artform, and my god, the end-result is just exquisite.

A magnum opus that is simply undeniable and ascendant even by the very impossibly high standards of their own bodies of work.
