Loved it. Did exactly what i'd hoped it would do, was great to see those stories on screen without just being doom and gloom and definitely moving too. (episode 5!)

Sliced Bread on Radio 4 did a long episode on this this week which was interesting (and basically, on all the studies they've done so far (about 20 years worth) it seems like probably not a problem, except the cost at the moment - but when they make a pill version work that'll come down a lot

differs country to country - i think for the Netherlands it was something like 300,000 euros - for another it may be much smaller. Given how late the deadline was this year to confirm, i'd say pretty much all those taking part are unlikely to change their mind.

they'd lose the participation fee at this point. That's the penalty for putting out at this stage.

It's the most wonderful time of the year. (I'm definitely giving Robyn some love this year, and Lily Allen and a bit of Sabrina Carpenter in there too among others )

Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

OK - update on the update (and an apology to my dad) it seems they HAVE arrested someone. (though no idea if it's the alleged thief themselves or someone else in the chain).

I'll take people who have never read FT's alphaville blog for $500
I wonder if this photo was chosen by someone who searched for "parent and kid, upset" and this is what popped up and they don't understand the context.

Or maybe the Financial Times is accusing private equity of fucking a pie. I just don't know about finance to make a judgement on this.
