I just called my reps with @5calls.org, you should too: 5calls.org

call now and tell your democratic senators to vote no on cloture and stop this CR from being passed. It's the only leverage they have left and if they give it up, there will be no protecting Americans from this Musk nonsense.

Banning noncompetes. Changing OT pay rules to include more workers. Capping credit card fees. Erasing student loan debt.

All Biden Admin executive actions to help working people that were blocked by Trump-appointed judges.

And Republicans didn't have a problem with any of it.

Someone close to me who works in cancer research informed me that this will devastate cancer research grants because they were required by the government until last week to address race and gender in all their proposals.

Which means literally every grant for cancer research will be pulled.
🚨BREAKING. From a program officer at the National Science Foundation, a list of keywords that can cause a grant to be pulled. I will be sharing screenshots of these keywords along with a decision tree. Please share widely. This is a crisis for academic freedom & science.

This, even when the stakes are lower, executives are "internally well liked" or infallible. Those who speak truth to or of them are "disgruntled employees" Wealth supremacy doesn't afford labor the benefit of the doubt while canonizing the powerful "meritocrats"

The CFPB protects Americans from Wall Street's unfair financial practices, including excessive fees and misuse of consumer data.

Since 2011, it has returned $19.6 billion to consumers' pockets from corporate predators.

No wonder the world's richest man wants to "delete" it.

Total student loan debt that would have been erased for millions of Americans: $400 billion

Total cost of the Trump tax cuts that largely benefited the wealthy and corporations: $1.9 trillion

This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.

Let me get this straight: teachers can only write off $300 in out-of-pocket expenses for school supplies, but “three-martini” business lunches are fully tax deductible for corporations. Hello?

Kind of amused by this thought...

College degrees from prestigious universities are highly regarded by executive leaders.

Executive tech leaders are among the first and most vociferous to decry process and theory, claiming "That's academic, it would never work in the *real* world!"
