If you’re a Columbia grad who doesn’t want to give the school any money for a while, trying donating instead to a community college. Such schools do tremendous good on far smaller budgets, and your donation will go much further.

The AHA ceased to be intellectually important decades ago - its conference is not a must-attend and its journal is not a must-publish-in; this is a good thing - there are so many intellectual centers within the American historical profession. Nothing is lost by withdrawing. 🗃️
