After working on retro shaders for a while it's now time to build actual content - modeling low poly environments is not much of a problem anymore but I didn't expect that texturing would be such a hurdle for me. Well, let's go, I guess. (×_×)

Curvature and CRT overlays incoming.
The CRT overlays will match the aspect ratio of the internal low-res image. You can stretch it for further adjustment. This should be sufficient for creating some nice looking CRT-presets.

Stranger Things war mit den ersten drei Staffeln fantastisch und wurde danach zu ziemlichem Schrott. Ich mache es wie bei Alien Covenant und erkenne die letzten einfach nicht als Canon an. Ich KANN nicht der Einzige sein?! 😆

Video compression probably will mess this up quite a bit but I still wanna share it. I've implemented a 2nd shader pass for full-res post processing on top of the upscaled low-res image. For the beginning, it will feature a CRT like shader. Commiting in a few minutes.

The Old GPU crops 8:8:8 bit gouraud shading color to 5:5:5 bit before multiplying it with the texture color [...]. For example, [...] Tomb Raider I looks a lot smoother on New GPUs.

Texture warping can get a bit extreme as there's no distance based subdivision right now. I need to evaluate if I can implement it. Otherwise, I'll need to somehow fake it. 👻
