🌍 Many provinces and territories in Canada have yet to fully implement accessibility obligations and rights as laid out by the Convention. This lack of implementation leaves persons with disabilities, including First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people, without adequate access to crucial resources.

🚫 The UNCRPD Committee has pointed out that the Accessible Canada Act fails to make the duty to accommodate a legal obligation, its accountability mechanisms for non-compliance are ineffective and persistent delays in its implementation.
