Someone told me this about procrastination: accept it as part of the creative process because without it we wouldn't able to get the result we actually get. While procrastinating we (subconsciously) think about the piece and its process and that's actually very productive in it's own way.

So far I'm having a pretty good October, despite this being my favorite holiday month and my month of pure traumatic event anniversaries. Either I'm pushing it down really well this year or I'm actually healing. We'll find out in Feb/March.
