j m greff - Trucker philosopher, peace-loving hippie, spiritual warrior, backpacking pantheist, wandering minstrel, poet fool.
So many opinions
Cluttering our feeds
Our communities
Our minds
Most are copy and paste
From Others
With motivations all their own
That seldom
If ever
Have anything to do with
Truth

There are no “wins”
In nasty comebacks
Belittling comments or
Clever comebacks

Only support of empty algorithms

Mother,
Give me
The wisdom
Courage
Patience
Strength and
Understanding
Of one who has fallen
So many times
That getting up and
Moving on
Is second nature

When you’re a fetus it’s wombscrolling.
When you're casting musical spells, it's loomscrolling.
When you’re hanging out in the Pyramids, it’s tombscrolling

"Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage."
- Anaïs Nin

I shamelessly ripped this directly from @duotrope.com

Check them out if you’re a writer.

I wonder

How it would feel

If I couldn’t speak my mind

I’ve been here before

I can’t tell you when
Because I’m not really sure
But this taste in my mouth
Is a taste
I’ve tasted…
Maybe this time
It’s mine
May be not

This moment, right now as you read this, is the only moment that exists.

Living like that does not mean we need to accomplish something great every day. Sometimes it is enough to simply "be."

The idea is to be here, now, fully. In every moment. And cherish those moments.

Not broken, perfected. - A Caravan of One
A poem about the bigger picture. About our place in, and reflection of, nature.

Can't believe I'm the first one to repost this. Maybe I just didn't go back far enough?

Cyberpunk 2077 has the best soundtrack ever. Nothing even comes close.

If you see this, quote a game with a 10/10 soundtrack.
If you see this, quote a game with a 10/10 soundtrack.

For YEARS, back in the 90s, I would leave my SNES running with this music at night.

You are the future.

You are the answer.

You are the miracle.

The cure to loneliness is community.

The cure to feeling disempowered is community.

The cure to an ailing society is community.

Now, more than ever, true community, the bonding of people through a common cause or ideals or simply through location, is needed.

Find yours, or create it, in person.

Stop what you are doing.

Take three deep breaths, extend the exhale on the 3rd like you're blowing out a candle & repeat this expression of love in your mind as a message to the world:

"May you be happy, healthy, safe, and free."

Be still and feel that love returned.

You are stronger than you know.

Whether I travel in the company of passion
Or reside in the solitude of self

Whether desire is by my side
Or the isolation I abide

It is always with me

"There is a sacredness in tears....They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition and of unspeakable love."
- Washington Irving

Never be afraid to cry. Or to laugh. There is an incredible strength in the fearless expression of emotion.

Economic blackouts are like warning shots. A message of “We have more power than you think!”

They’re also primers to more lasting boycotts. A dip in the pool.

But those aren’t the only tools we have.

One extremely effective method is to simply support companies that best represent your beliefs.
It’s a lifestyle choice. Like wearing running shoes or sandals or whatever fits you best.

It’s not difficult to adapt your principals to the ways you spend, or don’t spend, your money and it can make massive impacts if people are willing to simply do a little research.

Some places to start…
