It could be really bad for Discord if Californians contact the office of the Attorney General to report the potential violations of CCPA and CALOPPA citing the recent breach from a few months back where 1.5tb of user data and millions of IDs were leaked, but who can say for sure?

Kinda Fucked Up that in our lifetimes we've gone from "never share personal info on the internet" to "hand over your identity to the most incompetent corporations imaginable".

Hey uh, @discord.com do you really think I was 2 years old when I made this?

You already have my actual credit card info from purchases, so why, after already having people's government IDs stolen, are you pulling this again?

Is it censorship or AI training? We know it's not about protecting kids.

Hey Fred, gimme a pizza with extra cheese.

Extra cheese.

And the folly of the damned.

The folly of the damned?

And the suffering of the wicked.

The suffering of the wicked?
Hey, Jimmy, send this guy to hell!

Hell…?

"Our standing rule is: If one of us brings up using GenAI in any of our work, then it's safe to assume we've been assimilated by The Thing and should be burned alive by Kurt Russell," said a game design consultant in the US.
Over 50% of game developers now think generative AI is bad for the industry, a dramatic increase from just 2 years ago: 'I'd rather quit the industry than use generative AI'
The latest GDC survey also found that managers are more likely to use generative AI than their employees.

They keep inching towards blocking you from downloading videos too. I wouldn't be surprised if they pull that off soon. Broken record etc, back your stuff up. Also if you use a PS3 or Wii-U to play on a Tube TV, they will block that eventually too. Things are speeding up too fast man.

Like we all agreed collectively as a society that owning a computer was better than renting access to one, and then capital interests have trojan horsed the concept back into our lives as shitty products we can't escape that are convenient for the tech illiterate and sold as a hassle-free future.

It's crazy that computers started as huge mainframes you needed to share and didn't have ownership of, everyone realized that sucked, personal computers were developed to overcome this, and now we've been backsliding for like 20 years as companies try to lock us in huge mainframes we don't control.

Throwing this to the wind, but for people that don't know: Epic Games and Nvidia have had a close partnership for 15+ years in an effort to monopolize the gaming market between the two of them and push out competition in terms of hardware and game engines.

Like genuinely going insane over this. The movie is literally about a false utopia built upon exploiting a majority of the population. "We just missed out on it to make like 10 guys really rich" IS LITERALLY THE POINT OF THE MOVIE.

There's a post on Twitter about how Metropolis(1927) takes place in this year with a clip of the cityscape scene and the replies really reveal how few people actually know what that movie is about. There's people going "China is just like this!" or "We could have this if DOGE did it's job!"

I'm avoiding using Win 11 still but every time I see that shit it looks like the OS they'd use on one of those pear computers in a Dan Schneider show.
Using Windows 7 makes me feel like a Grandpa, but using windows 11 makes me feel like a worse, completely different grandpa. Frieren eating a Hamburger.
