The President is not legitimate.
His orders are not legitimate (on top of being unconstitutional).
Those who follow and/or enforce his orders are the enemies of the United States of America.

I will never hear the name Pete Wilson without thinking of this one.

The financial rules exist only to keep lesser clubs from upsetting the established order. Aston Villa (level on points with City) can only sign second-squad teenagers this month because of the same rules that do nothing to rein in City.
The signing of Guehi would take Manchester City's spending to c. £550m in the last 12 months alone.

No end in sight on the 115 charges. Only sends one message to City and any other cheats - do what you like.

Absolutely amazing ratio.

I never really thought Dems were gonna nominate him in 28, but this closes the lid on that possibility, imo.
Only 15 days in and we have a strong contender for most embarrassing headline of the year.

Ben. Shapiro. The guy who can't get his wife wet. The guy who needs an old person to open the pickle jar for him.

The failure to prosecute January 6th like the insurrection it was is what got him elected back to office. Trump should've been behind bars on January 21.

Big cities should have a majority of political power.
Stage 5 pundit-brain is watching an innocent woman being killed by agents of the state and going, "hmm this says a lot about the urban-rural divide in America."

Something something takers and makers something.
Another critical piece of missing context in this story: tax dollars flow from the MSP metro to rural Minnesota. People in the city subsidize the lifestyles of people living in the country minnesotareformer.com/2023/12/04/t...

Nisswa is 140 miles from Minneapolis. Almost 2-1/2 hours by car.
NYTimes has truly outdone itself with this latest in its "ask white guys in diner" genre. Thank goodness we get a perspective on what's happening in Minneapolis from people in **Nisswa** who probably mean Brainerd when they say they "prefer not to go the city anymore" www.nytimes.com/2026/01/15/u...

Gandhi’s podcast was the shit.
Republican on CNN: You peacefully protest with a letter to the editor. You peacefully protest by starting a Substack or a podcast.

If you’re a Philadelphia sports fan frustrated watching the Sixers tonight, do not forget a moment think flipping over to the Flyers game is going to improve your mood.

It’s one broccoli, Michael. What could it cost, three dollars?
Brooke Rollins: "We've run over 1,000 simulations. It can cost around $3 a meal for a piece of chicken, a piece of broccoli, corn tortilla, and one other thing. So there is a way to do this that actually will save the average American consumer money."

I always figured when World War 3 came around, we wouldn't be on Russia's side.
A rule of thumb Americans should be able to agree on: If Putin is rooting for a certain outcome, we should do everything we can to make sure it doesn’t happen. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

It's been a while since the Red Sox front office did/did not do a thing where I can unequivocally say "it is good that they did/did not do that."

It is good that they signed Ranger Suarez.

So before the cameras rolled someone told Trump it was a jug of whole milk and Trump wondered aloud how you would put a hole in milk and someone had to explain to him what whole milk is.
Trump: "It's actually a legal definition -- 'whole milk.' And it's whole with a W for those of you that have a problem."

It's like he doesn't even understand the point of "news". It's not there to be agreed or disagreed with. It's news. It's stuff that actually happened and is of some importance.
Been reading this over and over and can't for the life of me understand what he's even trying to say. This is a lot of words to say... nothing.

Absurd.
I am introducing the Quick Recognition (QR) Act, which requires ICE and CBP officers to wear uniforms featuring QR codes. When scanned, the code would generate a digital ID displaying the officer’s name, badge number, and law enforcement agency.

ICE should be unmasked both physically and digitally.

Which wouldn't be from the car hitting him anyway, since the car never touched him.

I’m 54 years old. If Tomlin genuinely stepped down and wasn’t pushed out, then the Steelers have still not fired a head coach in my lifetime.
BREAKING: Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is stepping down after 19 seasons in Pittsburgh, per source.

He just notified the team in a meeting.

I would often go to the editorial page after finishing the comics. Especially if the sports section was unavailable. At least there were more cartoons to look at and try to decipher what made them funny. Doonesbury and Pat Oliphant are what made me care about politics.
Reading Doonesbury and having it go completely over my head was a formative experience

Lynyrd Skynyrd in 2026 is probably more accurately described as "Six touring musicians employed by Lynyrd Skynyrd LLC".
The worst music festival ever just dropped.
