Important piece from the Prime Minister.

Today, Labour introduces legislation to scrap the two child limit and pave the way for the largest reduction in child poverty in a single parliament.

A pro-learning, anti-poverty policy that backs working families.

I really enjoy the New World, but having to read some of the unfunny, unfair, anti Starmer crap from Steve Anglesey this week really irritates me. Not sure what the hierarchy in editorship is, but can't @alastaircampbell2.bsky.social give him a kick up the backside?

Five years ago today, Donald Trump urged his supporters to attack Congress and the Capitol over a proven lie. More than 140 police officers were injured.

Trump then pardoned the attackers.

He betrayed his oath and his country, and we won't ever forget it.

Why are you lying? As @jamesdaustin.bsky.social has rightly pointed out, all these started construction under Labour. Under your watch, the number of council homes for construction has been slashed. Shameful.

Like many around the world, people in Wales are following events in Venezuela closely and our thoughts are with those affected.

The priority must be de-escalation, the protection of civilian life and renewed efforts through diplomacy and international institutions, in line with international law.

What's all this 'even though she's flawed' messaging? Seen it quite a bit lately. There was a choice, and zero contest between her and Trump in terms of ability, decency, honesty, brains, integrity etc etc. As with Hillary, there was a massive amount of misogyny. And there still is, clearly.
I am sure that if Kamala Harris were POTUS right now, she wouldn't have bombed Venezuela, unlawfully kidnapped its leader, and declared rule. America could have had a leader who, while flawed, isn't a complete Kool-Aid drinking maniac, but alas, voters chose the maniac.

I see this place has descended into hysteria and hyperbole with political ’journalists’ basing their posts on nothing more than guesswork & conjecture - none of which add clarity to a rapidly changing situation.

To the absolutist left who insisted that Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are the same, are you regretting it yet?

Whereas Zack doesn't bother with facts at all of course, just slogans and PR. Imagine having him in charge of anything.
Keir Starmer says he wants to establish facts by *watching Donald Trumps press conference.*

People said giving him a second state visit was a genius move of strategy - really seems to have paid off.

Special relationship - alive and kicking.

Who better to lecture people on pariotism than the lazy, incompetent, compulsive liar who partied while people died, agreed the worst Brexit deal possible, lied to Parliament, ignored the Ministerial Code and promoted sex pests?

Mid terms? Nothing would surprise me. We're in House of Cards territory here...

Seems VAT on private school fees delivers £1.4bn considerably more than estimated. IPaper reports today. That’s great news. Thanks Rachel. More money for the 93% of kids attending State Schools.

So sorry, for Kate and Poppy, that we live in such a bizarre world. Choice, and personal freedom, are held in such high regard in every area of life these days, but not in death apparently? An awful thing to have to witness. Cruelty we wouldn't inflict on an animal. Surely this has to change?
Kate Bilderbeck blew out a candle on her 59th birthday cake wishing that she wouldn't have to live any longer with pancreatic cancer. She lived, in agony, for six more days.

This is the Brexit equivalent. People who are angry, people who are stupid, people who are 'too' principled, people who are so wealthy they can ride out the storm. If they vote for Farage (or give him victory by default) they will live to regret it for years.

Joanne Young and Gisèle Pelicot have caused women globally to give pause in 2025. Their bravery and strength in confronting the most hideous acts imaginable committed by their husbands is remarkable.

Why are pubs a special case? People don't use pubs in the same way anymore. Time moves on. Like any other business, they have to as well. Disappointing attitude.

Had never heard of Alun Frances. Just read a bit about him. He's better than his predecessor (Birbalsingh) . That's about it really. Get rid of him and the Commission...a pointless waste of money looking for headlines.
