Maybe they could have waited out the market for a better return, but maybe it was just time to rip the bandaid off. Either way, if that’s the price for a generational talent, every fan base should be asking why their team couldn’t match it.

In my humble opinion - that of a settler who's lived here a year and a bit - "Big Lake" is a winner; that's what most folks here call it already.

When I worked for Alberta's NDP government, we cut child poverty in half. Today, in Danielle Smith's Alberta, more kids are going to school hungry than anywhere else in Canada. This is a choice; it doesn't have to be this way.
