I've been told Sameer Project is the "gold standard" for sending aid to Palestinians. Of many projects, this one is to keep Gazans warm this winter: shelter, warm clothing, blankets. Now they're in tattered tents w nothing, w/ Israel blocking aid entry despite ceasefire.

i forget we were raised in restaurants until my cousins and i go out to have dinner and we start comparing it to the food we used to have in ours 😅 i order mapo tofu and if i like it, that’s my go-to chinese restaurant in the city lol
i think it shows that my parents used to have a restaurant because of the way i YEARN for a professional kitchen 😭

i finally know why having long nails piss me off: it’s cooking related UGH
i can’t hold the things i’m cutting with the knife properly (nails digging into food) and i need my fingers to touch the food so that i can’t cut safely (i use a very sharp chef’s knife).

i finally was able to go to the supermarket. it’s so difficult to go outside. i bought my usual food. i hope i’m able to cook for myself tomorrow. at least, i cut the little bread and put them on the freezer. i’m exited to have some toasts for breakfast. it’s the little things that keep me alive.

i once said “wearing black makes me comfortable with living”. it is still true.
when my nails are painted a dark colour, i tend not to pay them too much attention (exactly what i need) bc i see it as part of me + they last longer. if they were colourful, i’d probably end up peeling them off…

to me, everything has to have a category. i’m moving and it’s hellish to have to sort every single little thing. why can’t i just put everything in a box? why must i stop in every single thing? how does one cheer oneself when the last day of packing is harder than the act of moving itself.
