IMO its cause when ppl arent directly affected by rhetoric and polices targeting groups (and arent interested in listening to said groups) they mistake emotional distance for balanced rationality, when actually their ignorance makes them biased, often in favour of the right

In school I learned that photosynthesis is how plants get energy from the sun. Now if somone tries to sell me a $300 supplement system that claims to harness the power of photosynthesis I know its bullshit and can save $300...and yet no one seems to think this is a "life skill"

if ur problem with #Wicked is "I prefer the 39 movie as an oz adaptation" thats called personal taste. If your problem is "it doesn't follow the same canon as 39 movie" the problem is ur fundamental understanding of adaptations and media. Neither of these are a problem with wicked #medialiteracy

rewatched "Happiest Season" recently and part of the problem is K-Stews acting is too grounded the mall interrogation scene is supposed to be funny but cause her reactions are realistic its stressful and upsetting, it highlights the actual fked up situation she's in #christmasmovies
