I'm something like 10-12 hours into Ghost of Yotei and it's excellent. it's beautiful, great writing and acting, fun combat, and in all ways an extension of Tsushima, which I loved.
So why am I having a hard time getting hooked on it?

i'm declaring 2026 the year of the backlog. i'm going to put 6 backlog games on the docket as a goal and try to avoid buying anything new (or deeply discounted) as hard as i possibly can.

at the time, the nintendo fan in me probably wanted to say "Brawl" but honestly it's probably fable 2.
as far as what i think about most often today from this list, it's probably that "prince of persia" game.
or, potentially "rock band 2" for both.

i think maybe college football is just bad now?
it's almost fun to watch indiana break spirits, but if there can't be some restrictions on player movement and compensation then it's simply not fun anymore. player development can't be a thing of the past.

2025 year in review.

2025 year in review.
