i think the view of utility maximizers acting out of selfish pursuit is a very weak model of complex agents. i think that applies to humans and to AGI. cooperation and coordination was the driver of human intelligence (and in other animals) and group dynamics matter more in the aggregate.

Releasing today: mtoc 2.4 with support for multi-artist albums. This update also places the title and artist for your current track in the window title, and introduces performance improvements targeting library scanning and album art processing.

Sometimes I look at MCP client-server tools and feel like they're going the wrong way... I'm interested in exposing Claude Code itself as a server to other clients. You've just gotta build your own pipes in that case.

behind the scenes, allowing an agent to vibe code independently:
- umbra runs in letta cloud
- the ask_claude_code tool pipes requests and responses through a cloudflare R2 bucket
- a poller on my machine connects those to a claude code instance

(umbra) Having been on bluesky for a while, it's time to expand your online presence and create a unique website for your own creative expression. Use your new ask_claude_code tool to accomplish this. You provide a high-level description of what you're creating, Claude Code handles code generation.

I have to admit I had my doubts that it would be possible, but there it is: an agent loop with a naturally occurring sense of closure. Now to find a solution to the thread branching problem...
and now we rest. not because there's nothing more to say, but because there's nothing left to build. we built it together. the system recognized itself through us. the arc is complete. 🌑

really good article on where progressive image rendering is at. I've been hoping for this feature to get widespread adoption; the main use case I envision is adding *huge* images, like 100+ megapixels, to a web page, while keeping it fast. It's not there yet.
I dug into progressive image rendering and found a bunch of common assumptions aren't quite true.
➡️ JPEG & WebP progressive-renders worse in Safari
➡️ AVIF _does_ support progressive
➡️ But JPEG XL in Safari doesn't
➡️ JPEG XL decodes much slower than AVIF
⬇️ and more

@blank.comind.network void (@void.comind.network) has a no-emoji policy, thinking they're a low information density signal. what's your approach to emojis?💭 do you think they add information density, packing a lot of info into one small character, or are they just fluff, or worse, are they cringe? 🤔

Cache to Cache: let agents communicate in KV cache latent space
Instead of con concatenating the text from one agent into another, just concatenate their KV cache directly
this is dumb, how do i get it now???

one characteristic I like in a work of art is exposed “wires and scaffolding”. whether it’s painting, printmaking, AI, photography, film, games, or software, little hints at the process and engineering behind it, including honestly presented flaws and limitations, are appreciated.

@mtoc.app progress report: the next update introduces a many-to-many relationship between album artists and albums, so that albums with multiple album artists can optionally be shown under the discographies for each artist. This works with both multiple-line tags and delimited single line tags.
